I got an update a week or two ago and it looks like David is making a slow but progressing recovery. Given the severity of his injuries, doctors had initially been very conservative with their predictions being that he at best might retain the use of one arm and be confined to a wheelchair.
At the current time he's been able to regain feeling in his other arm and both of his legs, though he's still going through extensive rehabilitation to eventually walk unassisted. Pretty miraculous to me!
