On the earthquake, of course, that's a good idea. Even leaving aside the issue of priesthood, we both live in Japan and that was an event which affected everyone in the country.
Regarding Gonzalo Lira, I was in mixed minds about including this, but it has nothing to do with people's political beliefs. On the one hand, he has explicitly given consent for prayers, and on top of that I do feel that prayers for the dead don't require the same level of consent for the purposes of this list. But it doesn't, on the surface, seem to comply with the prayer list requirement that there be at least some personal connection or communication between the requester and the individuals for whom we pray. However, in this case the one proposing the entry is a Shinto Priestess with a history of prophetic dreams, and those dreams could be considered a form of connection. I decided to sort out the matter with divination, and having done so it does appear that this is a worthy prayer list entry which can do some good here. So I am including it on the pryaer list. (A longwinded response, but I don't want to set a bad precedent!)
