At least for the first fire (the gasoline tanker), there was an obvious physical cause: a young man driving recklessly cut off the gasoline tanker, clipped it and flipped his car on its side. The tanker swerved to avoid plowing into the car and hit a tractor-trailer, which caused a leak and a spark and thus, the fire that burned down the overpass and began flowing into the water.
The diesel freight engine explosion on the adjacent railroad tracks happened for no obvious reason, and it's possible RF radiation could have been involved.
I suspect it is something more subtle (astral? or possibly an angry non-physical being of some sort?) that is underlying the fires, though.
