I just wanted to say thank you for your second response about Shinto over on JMG's blog. I missed the deadline to reply, so here I am now. I don't try to push anything religion or spirituality wise on my wife. We've been together over two decades. I did try to do that in our first number of years together, and it didn't work. I think the problem in the USA is that people get blinded to what else is out there, and all they see is Christianity or Atheism. I know it is more nuanced than that... but Christianity is so big, especially in the Midwest and with many in my family still of the faith. I do take the dream and your synchronous sharing of dream & ceremony as another positive sign about this. My wife always claims her religion is nature, so something along the lines of druidry and/or shinto --I am hopeful that we can share more in that as we climb up that hill together.
