Hi Tunesmyth. Thanks for thinking of the spiritual component to the prayer. I think you are very probably right about the spiritual component of my sister’s afflictions. We have been through a very troubled time of sustained duration that has clearly upset her profoundly.

About the ethical considerations you have raised: yes, Cynthia has on several occasions given her explicit permission for beneficent magic and prayers on her behalf while she was still in her right mind. She has even done so once or twice more recently, while not yet so deeply into her troubles as she is now. I believe we can rest easy on this score.
