Kevin, it might be a long shot but a few months ago I came across information on niacin (nicotinic acid) used to treat schizophrenia- not sure if that’s what’s going on with your sister, but you might look into the book “Niacin: The Real Story “ (not well-written, a somewhat repetitive collection of info, but cites sources and might be fruitful.
