She is not asking to let go of all depression permanently, but postpartum depression in particular, which seems a reasonably limited target to me. She wants to avoid a depression heavy enough to keeps her from enjoying motherhood. How to do that may take some inner work on her part, which she may or may not have already embarked on; either way, we can certainly support her with our prayers.
Here's what I'm going to phrase it as. Please feel free to share it with her the next time you check in with her.
"May Cliff's friend Jessica be blessed and soothed; may she discover the path out of her postpartum depression, and be supported in any of her efforts to progress along it; may the love between her and her child grow ever more profound, and may each day take her closer to an outlook of glad participation in the world, that she may deeply enjoy parenthood."
