Here are all of the requests for prayer that have recently appeared at ecosophia.net and ecosophia.dreamwidth.org. Please feel free to add any or all of them to your prayers.
Also, if I missed anybody, or if you would like to add a prayer request for yourself or anyone who has given you consent (or for whom you hold power of consent) to the list, please feel free to leave a comment below.
If you are someone who is on the list, status updates are appreciated but not required!
I will occasionally, at my discretion, remove someone from the list. This week I removed Jean Luc, as he characterized his prayer request as something that was happening in a timely manner. (Of course feel free to pray further on his behalf if you feel it appropriate.) Next week I will remove Tibby from the list, as it will be over two weeks since he has passed on.
Also, with her permission, I am adding my friend Kristina, who has ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Schlerosis, aka "Lou Gehrig's Disease", a neurodegenerative disease that current medical science deems incurable). Her ability to move and even breathe safely on her own is now becoming dangerously impaired. Should you be so moved, please pray for her healing, for amelioration of her difficulties, and for success at the inner work she still wishes to do in this life.
Now, here is the current list.
•Lloyd, who will undergo jaw surgery on January 12th, for healing and a positive resolution
•Cookie the kitten, to be matched with a loving home where she can live out her days healthily and happily
•Jay Crystall, who is going into surgery on the morning of January 10th for a resection of a portion of colon due to Stage 1 colorectal cancer, for a smooth operation, his healing, and for an overall positive outcome
•Cedar, a 7 year old boy who has been having problems with health and liver, potentially related to his Covid vaccination
•Kristina, who has ALS, for her healing, for amelioration of her difficulties, and for success at the inner work she still wishes to do in this life
•Kristina's father Ed, who also has ALS, and is currently extremely sick (update: condition improving)
•sdi's pregnant wife and unborn child, for continued recovery from a serious flu, and spiritual protection from the suspected cause (latest update here)
•temporaryreality's cat Tibby, who has recently passed on from this world
•pleiadesdreaming, for positive and protective energies for his family, who may be under magical attack
•Griffin, for dental repair and material benefit to his family
•Slink, for healing from a broken foot
•Honey Badger, for healing, for keeping his kidney in good shape, and for good luck with getting a donor kidney while remaining unvaxxed (latest update here)
•Quin’s father Bob, for arrhythmia (possible vaccine injury)
•Sinners4Disease Control/Patricia Ormsby, for arrhythmia (due to Electro-magnetic radiation sensitivity)
If there are any among you who might wish to join me in a bit of astrological timing, I pray each week for the health of all those with health problems on the list on the astrological hour of the Sun on Sundays, bearing in mind the Sun's rulerships of heart, brain, and vital energies. If this appeals to you, I invite you to join me.

Date: 2022-12-29 11:25 pm (UTC)Managing my time this month is something like playing Tetris—hard to get everything to fit together, and I have to try not to be too greedy or things pile up. I have a few minutes, so I'll leave you all with an update.
My wife came home yesterday. This was a big relief to us! She's recovering well: the medication and antibiotics they have her on are pretty rough on her body and her sleep cycle, but she is otherwise looking good, getting about, building her muscles back up. Baby's still kicking, wiggling, and putting on weight, so she seems OK for the time being.
I'm rather busy keeping on top of everything, and tired, but managing. Anxious about a few things, but I'm told it'll all be fine and not to worry about it, so I'm trying not to. Thank you all, once again, for your prayers: the effect they're having is very visible from my vantage point.

Date: 2023-01-01 03:15 am (UTC)Thank you and all who have prayed for me. I am healing! Yesterday, I got the staples out and put in a walking splint and went from "Don't put any wait on it" to "You can walk with the brace it it doesn't hurt". This is a huge improvement! I can take it off unless I want to walk. So, I'm much more comfortable and can sleep now. I was just on the verge of taking a test walk around the block. My leg has shriveled up and I want to start waking it up.
So, thank you, I believe that all the prayers sent my way have helped. I'm not saying further prayers are not welcome, but I am doing pretty well and don't feel worthy to be in the same company as someone with ALS or other serious issues.
As for my friend (who will answer to Honey Badger, or HB for short, so maybe we should call him that), he continues to be symptom-free, it's just the ominous results from the blood work. Apparently, his kidney could go at any time and then he would have about 30 days before he died. There is really no chance of him getting a donor kidney, so let's not spend energy hoping for that (it would be asking for a miracle), let's pray that the kidney that is keeping him alive right now keeps working for a long time to come.
He really is an amazing man, and the world will be poorer when he passes. He's been spending a lot of time out in the woods with his dog. It makes me a little nervous, but if I thought my days might be numbered, I'd be out in nature too. He holds a botany degree and is channeling his inner John Muir. He seems happy, but I feel that he is partly putting on a brave face as HE is helping ME because I'm down. I am certainly keeping him on my prayer list for a while longer.

Unless we start getting dozens of prayer requests and some kind of triage becomes necessary, I'm happy to leave you on the prayer list while you are still healing. Every little bit helps. I broke my own foot last year, though not quite as badly as it sounds like you did. It isn't fun!
I will change Honey Badger's entry to reflect his new named status, and I wish him lots of luck. No harm in praying for a miracle sometimes, I hear that occasionally they do happen!

Date: 2023-01-02 08:39 pm (UTC)The abandoned kitten (Cookie) who showed up in our backyard has been with us for about 5 weeks and we've put in a heroic effort to broker peace between her and Zelda. Zelda's gentle disposition is no match for Cookie's exuberance and Zelda is discontent with her in the house (her hisses transform Cookie's play to pursuit and attack).
We'd hoped to keep her, but will be rehoming her through a foster program this Wednesday.
I'd like to request prayers that Cookie be matched with a loving home where she can live out her days healthily and happily.
