I hadn't been following the Essenes posts (anything with "Christian" or "Gnostic" highlighted prominently tends to make me wary), but thanks for these; I think I'd need to see an example of exactly what is meant but it seems a valuable trick. (I'll drop open_space a line and see if I can get more details.)
