Please encourage him to make a post on his page; I would like this information too. There is a bit of a hole in JMG's teachings when it comes to magical protection for children. Although he has suggested that the SOP is safe around kids, I actually have my doubts; divination seemed to suggest my regular use of it may have contributed to my daughter's illness in some way, and I quit as a result. (The Shaw version seems promising to me on that score, but I haven't divined about it yet.)
Re: the Essenes posts, I'd encourage you and your daimon to take a look at it from the beginning. There is literally no specifically Christian, nor Gnostic, element to it that I can see which isn't universal to all faiths; and its specific subject matter is healing, with a large element of self-healing. And no ritual magic. I wonder if it might be something very useful for you.
