That's odd, I never prayed to Mars before but (also) felt a distinct powerful presence. I also prayed to the Holy Virgin as I usually do with the prayer list, but when I put my request at the feet of Mars there was a distinct, powerful, other presence than usually. Almost tangible. Let's hope it is indeed a positive sign.
