I am the person who requested prayers by permission for B.P. and B.C. ca. August.
B.P.’s issues continue intermittently and the distress is unabated when they do occur. But B.P. also can have several consecutive days when life goes on as usual unhindered by the specific type of mystery distress.
I suspect that B.P.’s gastro condition is partly or wholly caused by adherence to an allopathic treatment regimen for a different condition. B.P. is not open to the idea that the prayer target condition could be iatrogenic in origin.
Thus, I doubt that prayer alone can effect a durable change. Since prayer may be lightening the burden of a continuous state of distress, I am reluctant to remove B.P. from the list.
Instead, I wish to modify the prayer request to say simply that B.P. daily receives the best type of care that is “sufficient unto the day” and leave it at that indefinitely.
B.C. has received the care needed to resolve the issues with teeth, so our thanks for the energy expended on that goal. The issue with knees is ongoing and at this age may be lifelong. Thus for B.C. I would like to rephrase the request to a one more time effort of the prayer chorus and healing hands givers to send a one time burst of the energy needed to kickstart into life a new circuit of supportive care in B.C.’s home and family circle. Then B.C. can be removed from the list.
On my own part, I am facing surgery in Jan of next year any will send a request on my own behalf as soon as I have settled how to phrase it for best effect. Thanks again.
