If the Reiki/Healing Hands comparison conversation hasn't happened yet, I think it's important, and especially important for people like you to join in on it. To be absolutely clear: JMG was erring on the side of caution with my daughter. He has zero experience with Reiki and just didn't want to take any chances. If in your experience of both, the different in quality is so remarkably different that you could see Healing Hands as a form of prayer rather than treatment, and if this experience is duplicated by any other Reiki practitioners, then perhaps it really would be appropriate to treat as a form of prayer and keep on performing it for the list! Certainly we've had some notable medical successes with this prayer group so far, and it is within the realm of possibility that at least some of that is due to your good efforts. The last thing I want to do is to discourage you from doing something beneficial to yourself and others!
