This week I would like to bring special attention to the following prayer requests.
Nichole Cardillo had a cancerous tumor in her duodenum (in her small intestine) and she went into surgery on May 1st to try to remove it; that her surgery was successful and completely removed the cancer, and for blessings, protection, and a full return to health.
Patricia Mathew's friend Al (Alison Kulp) is in the hospital with a nasty life-threatening MRSA infection; please play for her to be blessed, protected, and completely healed as soon as is possible. (Update here.)
Luke Dodson's friend B, who is undergoing treatment for breast cancer, and is still in serious condition though she's already had surgery; for blessing, protection, healing, and a full return to health.
Lp9's request on behalf of their hometown, East Palestine Ohio, for the safety and welfare of their people and all living beings in the area. (Lp9 gives updates here and most recently here, and says "things are a bit... murky"), and the reasonable possibility seems to exist that this is an environmental disaster on par with the worst America has ever seen. At any rate, it is clearly having a devastating impact on the local area, and prayers are still warranted.

PRAYERS FOR HEALTH RELATED ISSUES
•KayeOh, who is scheduled for total replacement knee surgery on May 15, to have a good outcome to the surgery, and to heal quickly and completely in the aftermath.
•Hippie Viking and his wife, for a smooth and successful delivery of their newest child (or possibly children), without any unnecessary medical intervention.
•Prayergardens, to heal old emotional wounds and fears; she also notes that she gladly accepts MOE Healing Hands from those who offer it.
•Brother Kornhoer's son is suffering from sleep apnea and empty nose syndrome, which keep him from getting restful sleep; for both conditions to be healed, to allow him to get restorative sleep.
•Brother Kornhoer's daughter, for her to have strength to deal with depression, and for relief from it.
•Tamanous’s aunt, for effective treatment of and healing to her Myeloma (update here).
•Luke Dodson's friend A's stepfather SD, for healing and full recovery from some recently developed neurological problems who cause is still in question.
•Solarfed's mother Debbie, that she find relief from the shoulder pain, good sleep, and overall healing from whatever is causing her the pain; and also that her cognitive functions improve. (Update here.)
•Roobyalien's teenage son A is having a debilitating flare-up of tonsillitis; for his healing, for insight from higher powers as to the spiritual reason for the illness, and for assistance in finding effective alternative treatments to antibiotics with which to help him.
•Princess Cutekitten has various health problems flaring up; for the healing of her ailments, and for an increase in wisdom to come her way.
•Nichole Cardillo had a cancerous tumor in her duodenum (in her small intestine) and she went into surgery on May 1st to try to remove it; that her surgery was successful and completely removed the cancer, and for blessings, protection, and a full return to health.
•Honey Badger, for healing, for keeping his kidney in good shape, and for good luck with getting a donor kidney while remaining unvaxxed (latest update is very positive!)
•SDI and his family, for spiritual protection from a specific person wishing them ill, and for healing for SDI, whose health has been affected by the curses.

•Nicky's husband's Uncle D, who is transitioning from this world from cancer and is currently in hospice; for blessings, comfort and ease, both now and through their transition.
•Nicky's husband's Uncle D's wife, who is mentally and physically exhausted; for blessings, strength and energy through this trying time.
•Nicole, for healing and amelioriation of her indigestion and heartburn related to her ancestral healing work.
•Jon, Punky Little Kid's nephew, who just was diagnosed with ALS, for comfort and well being.
•John (Mr. Beekeeper, Beekeeper in Vermont's husband) has come home after a successful quadruple bypass surgery; he is still a bit fragile and will need cardiac rehab but is coming along well; that he continue to be blessed, protected, and healed to the utmost that is possible.
•2 year old ES, who was having upwards of 60+ seizures a day, had brain surgery on Tuesday 3/21; that he be blessed, protected, and healed completely.
•Luke Dodson's friend B, who is undergoing treatment for breast cancer, and is still in serious condition though she's already had surgery; for blessing, protection, healing, and a full return to health.
•Mike O'Mara, a former composer and music educator who was terribly injured by the Covid vaccine and now has an excruciating neurodegenerative order; that he healed and soothed to the greatest extent possible. (He keeps a Twitter account here.)
•Praesepe, who got a double mastectomy on March 8th. No update from Praesepe yet, and I don't expect to hear from her for a little while, but in this time of great transformation for her, please continue to pray for her to overcome her cancer; for blessings and her protection, and for her healing. •Grandswamperman's 3 year old son, for optimum health and development and healthy weight gain, as he is sufficiently underweight that doctors have now prescribed a feeding tube.
•1wanderer's partner, that she recover to the greatest extent possible from the neuropathic damage sustained as a result of successful cancer treatment last year, and that the cancer itself does not return. (Original request here).
•Jung Lee, for help with the complex health issues which have kept them mostly bedridden for many years, and for bolstering inner strength as lately they've felt close to their breaking point.
•Pierre's wife Julie, for healing and vitalization.
•Josh, for his health and the healing of some difficult emotional wounds.
•Anonymous who posted 1/24 3:50 UTC in a Magic Monday thread, who went into labor with her first child at that time, for the welfare of both mother and son. (Update here.)
•Mr. Crow's wife, suffering from back and joint pain.
•Mr. Crow's father, who has been getting chest pains and insomnia.
•open_space's great aunt, who was previously taken to the hospital with a low hemoglobin count. Her condition has stabilized, but she could still use prayers.
•Cedar, a 7 year old boy who has been having problems with health and liver, potentially related to his Covid vaccination.
•Kristina, who has ALS, for her healing, for amelioration of her difficulties, and for success at the inner work she still wishes to do in this life.
•Quin’s father Bob, for arrhythmia (possible vaccine injury)
OTHER PRAYERS
•Bottle Spell's friend, who seems to be under persistent magical attack by his ex, for protection from said attacks and blessings to help turn around the uncanny bad luck he's been dealing with lately.
•Daedalus is legally applying to for a US work visa, and was pre-approved by immigration but is being held up by the State Department for what seem to be spurious reasons; they request prayers for justice, to have their O1 visa approved by the State department, allowing them to move to the US full time and build what they have to for their life's work.
•Brother Kornhoer's ex has successfully found a nice assisted living facility that she is very pleased with; the prayer is now that the current arrangement become sustainable for her.
•Brother Kornhoer's close friend, who is dealing with a daughter going through an unholy trinity of mental imbalance, drug use, and an exploitative, sleazy boyfriend; he requests prayers for his friend, for strength and guidance on how to best help her daughter.
•Eriko, to get the problems her English teaching company is having at its Friday school fixed, and to increase Friday enrollment to a reasonably profitable level.
•Lp9's hometown, East Palestine, Ohio, for the safety and welfare of their people, animals and all living beings in and around East Palestine, and to improve the natural environment there to the benefit of all. The situation is still developing, but the reasonable possibility exists that this is an environmental disaster on par with the worst America has ever seen. (Lp9 gives updates here and also here)
•Daedalus, that he can find positive resolutions to the impediments to his major life project, and some help from allies.
•KN, that their family can find a safe, stable home to live in, that they have the discernment to recognize the right home, and that they are easily able to buy it.

•For Det and his recently deceased friend, that the divine grant them both spiritual protection, blessing and ease on their respective journeys.
•Andrew Skeen, for him to meet a "special someone" who is a wonderful match for him, with whom he can share a productive and loving relationship.

•David Klein, for spiritual protection from the intrusive thoughts and visions of demons that have been bothering him. (Update: things seem to be improving.)
•JRuss, for opportunities to open up toward moving to a good new place to live.
•RandomActsOfKarma's colleague's son, who is in the US Army and asks for prayers of protection, as he is being shipped out to Poland.
PRAYERS OF GRATITUDE
•Thanks for helping Brother Kornhoer's ex find and successfully move into a nice assisted living facility.
•Thanks for helping SDI's newborn baby's congenital heart defect to heal completely.
•Thanks for helping Honey Badger's kidney improve to the point that the most recent blood test showed normal kidney function, compared with being to be on death's door before then.

It's here now - scheduled for Monday, May 15th, 7:30 am Pacific Standard Time. I would welcome and appreciate any prayers on my behalf. It's a D&C procedure - scraping of thickened uterine walls and removing polyps and possibly, but not necessarily, fibroids. If someone is willing to pray for the procedure to go well and for me to be healed I would be grateful.

Hi Tunesmyth, thank you very much for offering these prayers for everyone.
I have one special request: I have a very important work visa which would allow me to move to the USA and build my life's work. It was pre-approved by the USCIS (US immigration department) but got stuck with the State department's local embassy/consulate. They're rejected it twice on very unsolid ground that isn't applicable to my particular category, the O1, and it is contradicting their own regulations but my application is stuck in the system.
I will apply one final time before I give up. I request prayers for justice, to have my O1 visa approved by the State department, allowing me to move full time and build what I have to.

Thank you very much for the suggestion!
Jupiter is weak in my natal chart (virgo), and I generally tend to have more trouble with things that are justly due to my efforts, so I have avoided prayers or charity for Jupiter, though I have done charity for this topic just recently when they were in taurus and Aquarius via both venus and saturn who are enthroned in my natal chart, where venus is my chart ruler, and saturn is lord of 10th.
Even then, my pre-approved visa was rejected twice so something super weird is going on (both other lawyers, and other senior employees in the US State department confirmed this to me, incl. a guy telling me that he has worked on this visa category for 1000+ cases over 30 years and has never seen something as weird as my case, which is stuck in the crevices via mis-adjudication).

Hi Daedalus, if I may--
It's my understanding that planetary charity was likely developed in the first place as a safe alternative to astrological magic for people with weakly placed planets such as the case you've described with your Jupiter. Likewise, unless you have caused offense to any of the relevant deities (and having a planet poorly placed in one's astrological chart certainly isn't something that I've ever heard causing offense to any being, deity or otherwise), prayer ought to be completely safe.
I took the liberty of doing a single Tarot card draw asking the likely result, should you attempt planetary charity and prayer to Jupiter regarding your troubles. For what it's worth, I drew the 8 of Pentacles (upright), which I consider a very positive card when it comes to making progress on a project that is important to you.

If I may, please read what Warnock writes very carefully. If you are to do planetary charity it's far worse to do it incorrectly than to not do it at all. This means --- for Jupiter --- four successive donations over the course of four weeks. A planet's essential dignity doesn't really matter, in the context of planetary charity at least, but doing the full round does indeed matter a great deal. It is ultimately about improving your relationship with the planetary god, and it is far more than about only getting what you want. If you do the work fully and conscientiously, it will probably transform you for the better far beyond your petition.

The Picatrix particularly emphasizes the importance of correct astrological timing for invocation,
"The most important point (of which you should take diligent care) is that you should see that the planet is in good condition and quality, and remote from infortunes, because when he is like this, he is like a man of good will and a lively heart and a great and ample mind, and if another person seeks something from him, he cannot find it in himself to deny the petitioner. When the same planet is retrograde in his course or cadent from the angles, he is like a man full of anger and ill will, who is most ready to deny a petition."

Hi Daedalus,
I am not sure whether Violet will see your questions in time for you to perform Planetary Charity this week, so I am going to venture a response instead. I should make clear that while I have never performed planetary charity, I do have experience with planetary devotions and I've been following the conversations about planetary charity at Violet's and JMG's and some other places about it for some years now. So although it's not something I practice, I *believe* I can answer questions with some assurance that isn't just hot air.
Regarding your question about timing planetary charity, it is worth remembering that Planetary Charity as traditionally practiced does *not* take into account the positions of the planets and stars in the heavens; it purely utilizes the Chaldean Days and Hours, which is an impeccably regular cycle of astrological timing based entirely on the Earth's own cycles of day and night, and entirely separated from the complicated interactions of planetary bodies through the zodiac. I do not know if you are acquainted with any metaphors from Druidry, but the Chaldean Days and Hours could certainly be thought of as "Telluric Current" astrology, in contrast to the "Solar Current" astrology of the celestial spheres circulating above and beyond us.
Thus the Picatrix quote you shared is not really relevant to the techniques of Planetary Charity. And some medieval grimoires even taught pure planetary hour techniques divorced from more complicated forms of astrology (e.g. the discussion of astrological elections in the Key of Solomon.) I don't know, perhaps the planet's state of dignity might make some difference; but practically speaking, people report enough success using the timing of Planetary Hours that I wouldn't worry too much about it. JMG even mentioned that the most successful and powerful electional working he ever did (which resulted in him being able to pay for an education with big subsidies) was an election using the astrological hour of Jupiter at a time when its placement wasn't otherwise ideal.
Anyway, as I said, I have not practiced Planetary Charity myself, but I can attest that JMG has also fielded this question before and given the answer I just gave, and if I recall correctly, Violet has written about how she has gotten good effects from Planetary Charity, even when (1) the stars weren't necessarily in great positions, and (2) the planets in question are in poor shape in her own natal chart.

Again, I have never performed Planetary Charity (though I do have experience with planetary devotions), but I don't know if Violet will see this in time for you. I'll just report that if it were me, I would definitely go with the first option if at all possible. To me it always seems best to make contact and establish some positive connection or good feeling of relationship first. The same way you would approach things if you were having an important meeting with a VVVIP (very very very important person).
But I'll also just say with some certainty that it doesn't really matter that much as long as you communicate from your heart, sincerely and respectfully.

I did mean the first one. For me, sitting with the deity in question and just making an effort to talk honestly is the best policy for making a true connection; doing things the other way around starts things on a transactional foot, which is not invalid necessarily but certainly does not suit my own personality and the kind of relationship I'd like to foster with the divine. That said, I can see that there may be other points of view on the matter, and they are not necessarily wrong.
Ultimately either way is fine; if you're really doing something important wrong, but you're making an effort to listen, then you'll find yourself figuring out a better way rather quickly. Whatever else, just make your own best good faith effort, and respect that you are working with a divine entity here who is immeasurably more powerful and experienced than you can imagine. It may well be that you are initiating contact in order to petition for a specific outcome; but it is vital to understand that deities are not magical vending machines. Rather, by engaging, you are opening yourself up to let those forces into your life, and be changed by them. Respect the divine and respect this process, and I suspect you will be amazed by the results.

Oh! I nearly forgot to mention.
When you open your prayer, if you happen to have any offerings with Jovian energies/associations already at hand, you might include that as well. (If not, please don't let it stop the process by making you feel like you need to go to the store first or something.) Some normal substances corresponding to Jupiter are almonds, cedar, clary sage, dandelions, lemon balm, and olives.
You might dress in blue or otherwise decorate the area you will pray at in blue. In my personal planetary practice, I also often put up an appropriate Tarot card traditionally associated with the planet in question. It seems to me in your case that Temperance, 6 of wands, and 9 of cups are all suitable for your purposes, and if this appeals to you, you might choose whichever of those attracts the most when you look at their image. (By the way, I used the 6 of wands when I prayed on your behalf earlier today-- Thursday already passed in my part of the world.)

I did my first one last night; I didn't have any of these at hand, but I wore blue, with a blue candle, and put on my jupiter stone ring.
